We built Joshua Wanjohi Photography to photograph Kenya the way it actually looks.
Founded in Nairobi in 2018, Joshua Wanjohi Photography started with one photographer covering weekend weddings around Kiambu and Ngong Road. Today we're a small crew of photographers, a videographer and a licensed drone operator, working on weddings, portraits, corporate events and safari assignments in every region of Kenya.
Our story
From one camera in Kiambu to studios across Nairobi
Our founder, Joshua, started shooting friends' weddings on borrowed gear while studying in Nairobi. Word travelled fast through WhatsApp groups and church committees, and within two years Joshua Photography was booking weddings from Mombasa to Kisumu.
We've since photographed traditional ceremonies in Kikuyu, Luo, Kalenjin and Maasai communities, corporate launches for brands headquartered in Westlands and Upper Hill, and safari assignments for lodges in the Mara, Amboseli and Tsavo. What hasn't changed is the approach: understand the moment first, then bring the camera.
